The lawful basis for Processing the Data in this section is under GDPR Article 6 (1) (f) - Processing the Personal Data is necessary for the purpose of the legitimate interests pursued by GTM Global and their clients and event registrants.

When you subscribe to GTMGC you give us your consent to use your data in ways that enable us to deliver the services and benefits to which you have subscribed. This includes sharing your data with our partners and sponsors who provide many of the services and benefits provided with a subscription.

For example, we will use your data to identify and send you information about matters connected with international expansion including the details of relevant services, offers and promotions from our business partners which we believe will be of interest and value to you based upon our understanding of your circumstances and the data we hold.

Our partners may also send you data and make contact directly with you in order to a) deliver the GTMGC partner services or b) following an event in which the partner participated (and periodically thereafter) to further discuss your needs and offer additional support. This support may be supplied free of charge or on a commercial basis and it is for you and the partner to agree.

A list of our partners and sponsors is published on the event registration website and/or in our email communications. We will only share your data with third parties where there is a direct need to do so in relation to the delivery of a GTMGC benefit or an event for which you have registered or attended.

We may use your personal data for automated decision-making and profiling so that we are able to provide relevant and personalised information as part of the GTMGC service.

We will retain your personal data whilst you are a subscriber to the GTMGC and for a period of two years thereafter unless you ask for your data to be erased in the meantime.

You may withdraw your consent for us to use your information at any time by cancelling your membership subscription here.

You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data and when you do so, we will stop processing your data immediately. In some circumstances your subscription will cease as we may be unable to deliver the services and benefits of subscription.

When you ask for your data to be erased, we will ask any partners and sponsors to whom we have supplied your personal data, to erase that data and confirm that they have done so. When you register to attend a GTM Global event, you give us your consent to use your data in ways that enable us to provide you with the bespoke mentoring services and other event benefits as publicised. This includes sharing your data with our partners and sponsors who provide many of the services and benefits of attendance at events and thereafter.

For example, we will share your data with our business partners and sponsors in advance of an event in order that they can undertake research and prepare themselves for the consultations they will have with you at the event.

A list of our partners and sponsors is published on the event registration website and/or in email communications relating to the event. We will only share your data with additional third parties where there is a direct need to do so in relation to an event and when we do so, we will seek confirmation from the third party that they are compliant with GDPR.

We may use your personal data for automated decision-making such as identifying the most appropriate advice and content to supply and for profiling so that we, and our partners, are able to provide relevant and personalised information at the event and subsequently.

For example, in advance of a GTM workshop, we may have a consultation with you to capture information about your business and its international expansion plans and following the event we may write to you with information relevant to those plans.

Our partners may also send you data and make contact directly with you in order to a) deliver the GTM partner services or b) following an event in which the partner participated (and periodically thereafter) to further discuss your needs and offer additional support. The information that we and our partners provide might include articles with tips and advice, case study articles and videos of successful businesses, promotions and offers such as discounted business class flights to the US, newsletters and notifications about future events.

When you do so, we will endeavour to stop processing your data immediately and certainly within seven days.

We operate an email mailing list program used to inform subscribers about products, services, news, information, tips, advice, promotions, offers, case studies, videos and partner content of a similar nature relating to international business expansion. When you opt-in to receive content by email from GTM Global, you give us your consent to use your data in ways that enable us to provide you with such relevant information.

Sometimes, we may ask your permission to share the information you give to us, with our business partners so that they can contact you directly regarding their products, services and promotions etc.
