  • A series of short presentations taking a look at the business-critical aspects of US growth and expansion
  • Personal 1-2-1 mentoring sessions with the guest speakers providing advice and guidance on your specific issues
  • Networking and further mentoring opportunities on wider international expansion topics with supporting GTM partners

The agenda

The clinic runs over a three-hour period in the afternoon, starting at 14:00 and if you can make it for lunch from 13:00 we would love to welcome you then.

Meet the experts

John Rikhtegar - Head of eCommerce Revenue UK, Vayner Media

John Rikhtegar is the Head of eCommerce Revenue at VaynerMedia, for their London division. After helping Shopify Plus scale out their enterprise offering in 2017, John brought his eCommerce expertise to VaynerMedia, now having the ability to work with brands on crafting innovative growth strategies that are built for the now. John proudly holds a degree from the Ivey Business School (HBA), in London, Ontario, Canada.

David Pasley-Smith: Head of International Development

David has been with GFS for 5 Years and is responsible for their International Growth strategy and pioneering the development of the unique GFS International proposition. Prior to this, David has held senior Sales and Logistic roles with companies ranging from global market leaders to starts-ups, and shares over 20 years of Global Sales and International supply chain expertise.

Jake Estes – Manager, Tax Technology Solutions (EMEA) | Avalara

Jake Estes is the Regional Sales Manager (EMEA) for Avalara, the global leader in sales tax and VAT automation. For four years Jake has helped businesses utilise Avalara’s solutions to manage their US and global indirect tax compliance. Jake holds degrees from Washington State University (BA) and the University of Buckingham (MBA).

Craig Agutter - Head of Corporate Online and eCommerce, WorldFirst

Craig is the Head of Corporate Online & eCommerce for EMEA at WorldFirst, the leading international payments company. Having worked closely with online businesses over the last decade, Craig and his team understand the challenges and opportunities when expanding globally, devising currency and international payment solutions that help online retailers maximise sales revenues in new markets.

Darryn Jones, Vice President of Emerging Technologies at GPEC

Darryn provides competitive market analyses and site-selection assistance to eCommerce companies looking to expand or relocate to the US West Coast. A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Darryn received his bachelor’s degree as well as his master’s degree in public policy and applied economics from The Johns Hopkins University, where he was a Bill and Melinda Gates Millennium Scholar.

Mark is a Cambridge University History graduate with over 25 years’ director-level experience in marketing and consultancy in the UK and internationally. Past clients include Reuters, Safeway, Dixons, Microsoft, Royal Mail, The UK Driving Standards Agency, International Student Identity Card and Sony. More recently Mark has worked with UK trade bodies like the Department of International Trade, The Mayor of London’s International Business Programme, techUK and US digital marketing agency Lucid Fusion.

Ian Collins –Co-founder of GTM Global

Ian is a serial entrepreneur with significant international experience in internet, technology and hi-tech industries, working for start-ups, SMEs and large corporates including the launch of a leading eCommerce platform. In his career, he has started six companies, managed multiple fund raises, two acquisitions, a merger, three JVs, an MBI, two £100m+ corporate ventures, a disposal and an exit.
